Renée Vincent is an award-winning director for film and stage. She has acted, directed, and choreograhed over 75 productions through her career as an academic and professional. Most recently, her film company, ReneAissnace Productions, was honored and listed on Southern Artistry, an adjudicated registry, showcasing the "best in the south". She is the recipient of the 2004 Film Fellowship and Award from the North Carolina Arts Council, one the highest awards given to visual artists in the state. She is also listed in the coveted NC Artists directory vetted by the state of North Carolina Arts Council.
In the summer of 2006, Dr. Vincent, ReneAissnace Productions and UNCW students traveled to Chile, South America to shoot a new project. As an actress, Renée's work can be seen in the feature film, Factory Girl, starring Guy Pierce and Sienna Miller, and the television series, One Tree Hill as the reccurring role of Ms. Mary Edwards.
Dr. Vincent holds a BFA in Dance and a MFA in Acting from the professional acting and dance programs at Southern Methodist University in Texas. She earned a Ph.D. in Directing from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She is a union member with Actor's Equity Association, Screen Actor's Guild and American Television and Radio Artists.
